It's not going to help, but I think Emma's mother remarried in 1911, I did just wonder if Emma wanted to leave her past behind she might have changed her name at that point? ( grasping at straws now lol)

lol none of us likes to admit defeat :-) I am still looking for my Harriet though I am pretty sure she must have died and just not been registered..

Thank you for taking the time to ask.

I now know that a family member purchased a copy of her birth cert......confirming her DOB as........28th April 1888.
