Many thanks. The address ties in with information I have for some 25 years later. Whoever entered the details got the dob wrong, as I have seen the birth records for the roman catholic church in the local library

Looks like her birth date was changed on the 1939 register from 1892 to 1889 in 1948- the code given was NJA- which is Manchester.

She was originally added as Just ADA. Mary was later added (possibly also in 1948- code was also given as Manchester)

Chris and Austin
You are both correct in the families you have shown. To the best of my knowledge she was a nun. On the 1901 census she was in St Emmanuel Roman Catholic Boarding School in Leed, part of St Mary's convent and orphanage.

When did her Father die?...is she not one of 90 Orphans listed on 1901...(Caroline also with her)

Chris :)

Where are the girls 1911?...

(can see John William in Grimsby)

(as for Mary Ada, wondered if any clue from Marriages of siblings. Bruce, what else do you know?)...

AustinQ

AustinQ Report 27 Mar 2018 14:52

It looks like Ada lived with her sister (Kate Florence) for a while.

In 1911 Florence (Kate) is living as servant at 110 Burgess St, Grimsby.

Kate married Thomas Lammin in 1911 (4th qtr)- she is listed as Florence Keegan).

Electoral register 1928/ 1929/ 1930- still at 110 Burgess Street:

Ada Keegan
Michael Joseph Richardson
Thomas Lammin
Kate Florence Lammin
