Amazing research. I have no idea how I am going to piece this all together on a family tree to make sense. Do you have any tips on how I can confirm these are all relatives, or does this need birth certificates to confirm? I have struggled some time to piece together those in the Brooks family tree, this has been of interest as I carry the name, but have no family to provide any further information on the Brooks name.

Try using the Genes Reunited tree to start with - if I can use it, it must be easy ! Just plan it out - you can always change things if you need to.

You will need certificates to confirm - I was once told "prove each generation before going backwards or you could end up a long way down the wrong path"

You can use the Search facility at the top of this page and then search all members trees. Input an ancestors barest details and see if there are any matches. You can then try to contact the tree holders (may not all be still members, or aren't interested or able to reply) - explain what you think the relationship might be and you may get some help that way - they may have certificates they can share etc.

Or, there are a lot of public trees on Ancestry where someone may have posted certificates etc. BUT without proof, do not trust Ancestry trees. People copy ad lib and you can find your granny born after you !!

I see you've asked about certificates on another thread, so you have that advice.
