Born in Bolsover/Derbyshire 1886

Married Joseph William Ball of Blackwell in 1907 at St Werburgh (Blackwell) Church

Father was Caleb Jones and I believe Mother was Sarah Jane Jones (Unsure of maiden name). It seems as though her mother died when Lucy was a young child though I cannot glean anything concrete around that, She just disappears from the census.

I'm looking for Year of Death and information on whether or not she was institutionalised? She had lots of kids very close together and family stories say that she was "nuts" though probably overwhelmed and postnatally depressed.

There's also local stories about how "bad" a man Joseph WIlliam was though his nick name was "happy" (possibly sarcasm?) it sounds as though he was a womaniser or at least forceful with women at the very least. He was a big drinker also.

I did ask for help a few years ago and someone managed to find a census linking Joseph William to an Elizabeth Ford with an article about a murdered baby (talk about skeletons in closets!!).

I just want to find out as much as possible about poor Lucy. Since having my own child I feel so sorry for her!

All help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you. So by 1901 she was living with a paternal uncle. Which again makes me think her mum has died by then.

However, on that (in May 1907) she is aged 22 - so her birth must be earlier than JFM 1886
