when you say ancestry says you have the wrong parents what do you mean, if they are hints from another tree they may be wrong :-)

Why not just get the child’s birth cert?
Although, in this instance it probably wouldn’t add much to your knowledge, as the DoB on 1939 register tallies with that on the 1899 baptism.

As for not using Ancestry - well, use the site, but make your own judgement about the relevance of any info you find. The ‘hints’ the site gives are not arrived at by anything other than computer ‘matches’

There is a tree on there which agrees with the findings by the helpers on here.

thank you everyone gray ghost helped me a while ago and she was right allso yes it was the hints on ancestry that confused mex
