I have just been browsing on eBay, and came across a postcard for Wyke Regis, Dorset which was sent to the above James Brading

Address given - 1, Louisa Cottages, Clarence Road, East Cowes, I.W.

Teaxt reads -

Dear Louie (?) & Jim, Please accept our hearty congratulations & best wishes upon the arrival of your grandchild.
We hope Cis & Baby are doing well.
With love from us all, from Alice & Bert.

Postmark on stamp just reads - Weymouth, 5.45 pm Mar 1 - But NO YEAR !! (Stamp is of Edward 7th).

Would be interested in discovering this family....!!

The postcard's picture is of Wyke Regis !

It is James Brading & family who lived at 1 Louisa Cottages, Clarence Road.

Having said that, they may have been neighbours ?? Anything is possible !!

Check marriage info on freebmd, then look for possible births, although I don’t know how you’ll determine which of the mothers is ‘Cis’…….unless only one of the four marriages produced a child
