Doris L Williams DoB 4 Feb 1906 is at 244 Upton Road, Ryde, IOW in 1939, with husband born 23 Feb 1904, occupation Draughtsman and a closed record which will be their daughter born 1938.

FMP have transcribed Roland as Rita? and designated him as female, despite the image clearly showing him to be male.

The forename is a bit unclear………….

I agree that Frances is probably Cis.

Also, the grandchild mentioned on the postcard must have been born in February of whatever year it was.

Frances's child (Doris Louise) was registered in the Apr-June quarter of 1906, so could be that one, if registered in early April.

I don't see Doris and Rowland/Roland in 1939, to check her DOB.
At least not together, nor Doris on her own unless the DOB stated in 1939 is wrong - which is often the case.

They were both born and died on the Isle of Wight.

The postcard's picture is of Wyke Regis !

It is James Brading & family who lived at 1 Louisa Cottages, Clarence Road.

Having said that, they may have been neighbours ?? Anything is possible !!
