Find Ancestors

According to the 1939 Register Ernest was born on the 22nd December 1881 I am unable to find his birth record. I have his marriage cert dated 5th July 1911 in the county of Lancaster though I can not read the parish. It is St Peters .....llige, Lancaster. He married Emma Westwell. Ernest William's father is entered as Edward Walton (deceased) a Stonemason. Address 63 Firs Lane. Ernest a Clerk and Emma are both aged 29 on the certificate. The only other record I have found is the 1921 census which gives Ernest's birth place as Lancaster and he is given as a Cotton Yarn Warehouseman. Are you able to help me find anything for Ernest pre his 1911 marriage please.

the address on the marriage certificate appears to be that of his bride's family

as a late Dec birth the registration was carried into the next quaterly indexes,,,,,,Jan/Mar 1882,theb birth cert will show Dec 1881.

I looked at that one Kay???? but his birth should be registered Q1 if any in 1882 for a late December birth and if he was born in Lancaster, then it's the wrong RD.

The registration could have been late and he may have thought Lancaster was where he was born if he moved there at a very early age.

Or he made it all up.

1921 does NOT say he was born in Lancaster. His birthplace is recorded as GLAZEBURY in the County of Lancaster……………
