perhaps John and William were brothers, though in the 81, Martin is Williams son? john and Wm couldn't have been brothers with diff surnames? Getting myself more and more confused

Thank you sooo much everyone, he is a real mystery, William his father was quite well off, so not really sure why Martin wouldn't have been home. I think that the 1871 family is COURTNEY, not Courbury!
