Find Ancestors

i am trying to find the siblings of NELLIE BRACEGIRDLE born 1877 in regent street Manchester. Father was John William Bracegirdle and mother was Ann (nee Jones) John was born in bowdon/ashleigh area of Cheshire and mother was born in Little Bolton. I thought they might show up on one of the census's and would be very greatful for any help.

The marriage was JAS 1876 Bolton 8c 317 So assume John born before 1860 (and possibly nearer 1850)

Well Nellie did exist on a census - I think this is her in 1901 in the workhouse at Crumpsall in Machester as a hotel barmaid Nellie Bracegirdle abt 1878 Manchester, Lancashire, England Inmate Crumpsall Lancashire

That is all I could find Jools Then when I went back i couldn't find it. Too Hot!!! Can't find any sign of them anywhere else. Germaine x

Germaine - the only John I could find on 1861 who was born Ashley was born in 1834 rg9/2590/7/7 On the 1871 he's moved from Cheshire to Manchester rg10/4055/31/55 but wife's name/pob is wrong. On the 1881 he's now a widow but is living in Cheetham rg11/4020/55/3

Germaine - yes that is a definite possible. Its' Rostherne and it's a couple of miles from Bowden according to my parishlocator The snag comes in the 1891 for him - his wife is Alice born norfolk and they're all in cheshire!!! GRRRR

Ah a start but where is his family? Had a good look can't find them thing is have they been mistranscribed in a bad way. Or what if they are living with perhaps her parents and down under the wrong name. It would help if we knew which area of Manchester Regent St was I'm starting to frazzle on this one - and now we've got blasted fireworks going off (presumably some high class/more money than sense wedding at the hotel down the road) - blooming inconsiderate at half ten at night

its very odd- there are bucket loads of Bracegirdle's born , but very few feature in census at all!
