Taht's my Nan- the one in Wandsworth. Her name was Ann Elizabeth Emily. And what could be good news is that someone earlier thinks they found Elizabeth Pronger on 1901 census and her place of birth was Wandsworth too. Thank you

None jump out at me- sorry. Strange as well because my Nan was born end of 1905 and she doesn't appear in 1906- her name was Ann Elizabeth.

My Nan was born in Camberwell. Does that help at all.

The 3rd qtr of 1878 Pronger is missing from Ancestry - you can bet your entry is on that page. There was only one John and Elizabeth Hallett on 1901 census. Where was your nan born?

According to marriage cert. (and my Nan) he was a costermonger.

Thanks for that- it's worth pursuing. Could it be possible that her birth is not on Ancestry or any other sites. Still doesn't explain why I can't find them on 1881 census though.

In 1901 living in Rochester, Kent. No children. John was a boiler maker's labourer.

The 1901 census shows Elizabeth Hallett born in Wandsworth and John Hallett born Chelsea. Could not find a Wandsworth birth though there were Prongers in that area

Should be some children by 1901. My Nan was born in 1905 and I know she had some older brothers- just don't know what order they come in, (Thomas was her favourite but not sure when he was born).

And no I haven't found her on any census.

Not a lot. In fact only her name and wedding date. I do know that is right. They were not very rich and as they married in London I have assumed she was born there too.

No probably right. The only other option I can think is that the father went by the name James but it's not his first name or hers is not Elizabeth first!!!!!!

Thanks for that but unfortunately by 1901 she had married John Hallett. Incidently can't find them on 1901 census!!!!!!!
