Lise Try above site, it has lots of info and links regarding Manchester news and areas, some upto present date! Totally of topic..... I managed to find your John Statham and Susan Armstrong marriage, ive added it to your 'statham' thread, dont know if you saw it or not?? Lib

With reference to their whereabouts in 1881 is anyone's guess ! They could have been on the 'move', across the border .... or simply just not registered. They MAY be mistranscribed on the census ... but I have checked most of the possibilities and have also looked for just the first names etc .... Might check the 1881 on IGI ..!! Elaine ;-)

LL Yes ive just had another look at your answer to my thread on j statham and s armstrong, with all this help I feel like im actually getting somewhere now...The gaps and uncertanties are now fitting into place. Which in your opinion is the most valuable site to access 1851 - 1901 census information. Theres that many I just dont know which way to turn.. Lise

There is ONLY ONE site that has all 1851 - 1901 census on it (online) and that's ANCESTRY.

Hello Just wanted to thank everyone yesterday especially DD, LL and Pete who found the parents of richard partington, I never really got chance to thank everyone for all your brilliant work.
