think they are on the 1901 census living in prestwich manchester i may be wrong

Are you saying that you have found Thomas, Lizzie and Polly on 1901 census - but Edith and Emily were not with them ?? Do you have years of birth for Thomas. Lizzie and Polly. Do you know the names of the parents?

hi yes think the manchester ones are them please can someone try and find them on the 1901 census as edith was born later than the other kids thanks

Also on your other thread you say that Edith Waterhouse was born c1900. You really need to get some certificates otherwise we are very likely to come up with the wrong family unless you have got something concrete to go on.

I see that Jess has also been working hard, trying to find Edith. As she suggests, Edith's marriage cert would give you Edith's father's name. I think you need to order that. Update: (snap, Elaine)

BUT the family we have found in 1901 does not show Edith born 1893 - this is why it is so important to get her marriage certificate which will give the father´s name and occupation. Without that I don´t think we can move any further forward with accuracy

No i dont. i gave you what you needed last night - the marriage ref - You need that cert to procede, (with all due respect, your aunt wasnt there so may not know for sure). Therer is no birth ref for that date/location~ so she cannot be right

i have just found out from my mother that they did not live in manchester until later years they are actually from bradford yorkshire
