true! but she did marry her second husband when she was about 50 and her first husband died when my nana was about 18 so i dont think it works. It cant just be a big coincidence though, because oakengates is actually where they lived!

my nan was 52 when she had my uncle! and my father (his brother) is 30 years older than him !! so anything is possible!

My nana did grow up in oakengates so that would seem right. but the age doesn't seem right for florence does it? because my nana was born 1930 that would make her like 40 wouldnt it?

I think they travelled from shropshire back to lancs for my nana's birth but as i said maybe she was born in shropshire after all.
I just spoke to my nana and she says all she remembers was her dad was joseph bradshaw (people called him joe) from lancs, he had two brothers, one she think was named bert (i suppose could be albert) and a sister named Lizzie who she thinks lived in preston.
She doesnt know much about her mother florence may ball either, just that she remarried when she was about 50 to a man called martin leese?
