Member Since: March 2006 Posts: 1,594 Send Message	On Free BMD there is a marriage for an Ann Sharp, Q4 1855, Goole Registration District....9c 719, and a man missing.. Firstly the actual image looks like 9c 72 5 or an 8 Also on the actual index (not freeBMD) for Q4 1855 there is a William Thompson, Goole Registration. 9c 72 5 or an 8 So Free BMD has a mistranscription and I think this is the marriage. So Ann Sharpe mother of Robert Henry is actually William Thompsons step-daughter. Gail.

Member Since: August 2003 Posts: 570 Send Message	Hi Gail, yes my grannie Annie was the daughter of Robert Henry Sharpe and Jessie rutherford and from that I got loads of stuff on the Rutherfords and Fanny Sedgwick etc so I can't thank you for your help. I had some trouble finding the Thompsons in the 1851 census but that was because I was looking for them being married, I must have missed the Harriet Sharpe in the mass of boarders. I was just looking at that smae marriage record and thinking the same as you have done, Yes it is a lovely tree loads of skeletons in the cupboard, and we haven't even started on the Italians yet. I know so little about my Sharpe relations as my Aunt Annie knows very little about them as she said there was little contact with the Sharpe side of the family. Which is why I was a bit at a loss.
