Member Since: March 2004 Posts: 51 Send Message	We believe Charles was born around 1821 in High Easter, Essex and married in 1840 (to whom??). He had 2 sons that we know of: Charles Henry (b1841) and Alexander (b c1854). He was widowed prior to 1881 when he was still living in High Easter. Can anyone locate him and his family on 1841,1851,1861,1871 Census? Many thanks in anticipation. Shirley

	Ozi Did you notice that on the 1871 it said that Charles Joyce was Married? On the 1881 he is Widowed so is wife (possibly Dorothy) still alive in 1871, or is it another of the mistakes in marital status? sylvia

	They just seem to have disappeared between the possible sighting in 1841 and 1871! Although Carles jr does appear in 1861. Where would an Ag Lab go with wife and kids? Transported??????????? sylvia

Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 9,301 Send Message	I'm always amazed at how many have family that emigrate & return between a couple of census. Even in the mid-1800s. However none of the Joyce brood seem to be born overseas. Dorothy disappears off the face of the earth! Ozi.
