Please can someone help me I really don't know where to start on this one.
I am trying to trace the family of this gentleman.
he lived in Stonehouse Gloucestershire and married a Mary Asher.
He was born1892c but I don't know where.Mary was born 1897 in Leeds.
He died 1961 Mary died 1957.

if anyone can help I would be really gratefull.

Have you got their marriage cert cos thers several Perivals on the 1901 his dads name may help to identify him

This Percy is the right date and seemingly Eastington is near Stonehouse but it is just a wild guess and you would need the marriage certificate. I can't seem to find a marriage for them?

Dec qtr 1923 Mary Asher to Percy Price Stroud 6a 719.

You need that cert for their ages and fathers names and occupations

brian's mum couldn't remember whether her Dad was Percy or Percival.

Charles was just a general labourer. He was born Easington, Glos. Caroline was born Stonehouse, Glos. Son William 18 was a woollen cloth weaver, born Stonehouse. All other children born Easington.

Look for Walter Charles Price, Elizabeth. It was written above Charles on the 91 census.

Marriage is a little late though for Willie J.

It may well be just me.
As I said i am not great at this yet!

Uh oh! Can't find the birth of William J. Price but there is a William John Butlin in Stroud. 2 of them actually, one in 1883 and one in 1885. Do you suppose they waited until they were married and re-registered him? No that doesn't make sense, if they did that they would give him the name Price, wouldn;t they?
