What evidence is there that the Frederick William Carter who married Catherine is the same person as the one who married Mary?

How old was he on the marriage cert? And what was his occupation?

What about Catherine's details? Age, father's name etc?

Reg

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 31 Dec 2007 14:25

I've just checked 1891...the family I posted for 1901 were on 1891.....so that rules them out as being the ones who married in 1900...........

Im confused by Eveline in 1891 , where she is described as a neice, with an Uncle Carter.

If she was indeed his neice, he must be her fathers brother ....yet has the same first name .

How can that be?

( AND if she is with her Gran Elizabeth carter, His mother cant be sarah)

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 31 Dec 2007 14:56

In 1891, Eveline (b. Aylesbury) is with grandmother Elizabeth (b. Stone) and aunt Rosetta (b. Stone)

Is Frederick William with these people in 1881?

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 31 Dec 2007 15:06

Until Jane tells us how old Fred was in 1900, I'm not looking any further..............

Other than to say, that as Eveline's birth was registered in JFM 1888, and the marriage wasn't until OND1887, it's entirely possible that Fred wasn't her father, which would explain the inclusion of MMN in her name

BUT.........this is not the Fred who married Catherine

Hi this is getting confusing, in 1901 census is states that FWC was born in Stone so I know that this is my Grandfather because the area that they were living in at the time 1901 was where my Mum was born. I remeber my mum saying that her dad had been married before. I presumed that Evaline was WFC daughter because her middle name is Cowley. When you start looking at records you realise that there are many people with the same name
