can someone please look on 1841 census for eunice nightingale born abt 1837 fletching sussex would like to know who were her parents and syblings any info greatly recieved...Eunice was my great great grandmother so would be a great help in getting started on her side of the family......thankyou

hi reg thanks .... that is her and her maiden name was nightingale acording to igi she came from fletching sussex and her husband who was also a nightingale came from birstead kent..........GARY.....

I suggest you may need to get her marriage cert to verify the details

What sort of record did you find on the IGI? Was it submitted......or extracted?

Where and when did the marriage take place?

Where did you find it on family search???


I cannot find Eunice Nigthingale on there,

and the only Alfred Nightingale marriage that I can find is this one

BUT there is nothing there that says her maiden name was Nightingale!!!

the marriage reference that Reggie found is the only one that shows up on www.freebmd.org.uk between 1841 and 1900, so it is undoubtedly your guys.


You should always go to freebmd to check all births marriages and deaths from September 1837 on.

I think you are correct ................... the only other explanation could be if there just happened to be another couple who did get married in 1871, but nothing shows on freebmd.

I'll see if I can find Alice Nightingale allegedly born 1872.
