NIGHTINGALE Fred Charles Lewes 2b 157


Lewes is the registration centre that includes Barcombe.



Interesting that he wasn't with them on the 1881???

Eunice's birth also on BVRI:

HI Sylvia i had agnes as born in poplar i got that info from my dad ....when i first started doing the tree and i would presume that he got the info from my grandmother......

the information given and shown on a census does not always coincide with the actual birth place.


However ....... Poplar is a district in London, which is usually considered as being in Middlesex



so there isn't really a discrepancy!

has anyone found a birth registration for Alice other than the submitted record on IGI??


There are these two in Sussex, but none showing in Brighton

Births Mar 1868 (>99%)

Nightingale Alice Horsham 2b 301


Births Jun 1873 (>99%)

Nightingale Alice Emily Tunbridge 2a 535



Neither seem to be the "right" one
