has anyone access to 1901 or eirlier census they can help me with.im still looking for robert warren d.o.b.1877,this is worked out from his marriage cert which was 1912 and he was 35 at the time. married in norwich to elizabeth noman.his fathers name was samuel, whom i think came from thorpe in norfolk.no idea of mothers name or if he had any siblings.his address at the time of his marriage was 2 tuns yard, saint miles.i have looked through hundreds of records and its like he didnt exist.i know about his wifes family and their children. hoping someone can help, regards pam

what did his marriage cert say his/his father's occupation was? in 1901 robert is an ordinary agricultural labourer and in 1881 samuel was an agricultural labourer

i dont think its lincoln ones as im pretty sure he came from norwich,samuel was a gardener ,robert a shoe finisher.robert is my dads dad,he said he didnt know much about him and didnt know the names of his grandparents, only that his nan lived to be 96.appart from that not much more. pam

this is all confusing.some of it could make sense.samuel was a gardener,robert was a shoe finisher.my dad is roberts son,his name is bertie which was his mums brothers name.he had a brother robert and a sister rose both of which are in the warrent family.i think back then they carried names over to the next generation.but the name warrent is puzzeling me.i was a warren,my dad is a warren.roberts marriage cert he is warren.if it is the same family and the name got changed is there a way to find out how .andrew found warrent when i was first searching but i dissmissed it as my maiden name was warren.your all brilliant for finding this out.how do i move on? pam
