Its no problem According to IGI Thomas Clark and Isabella Stewart had the following kids 1. BERNARD CLARK - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 26 DEC 1870 Dundee, Angus, Scotland 2. PETER CLARKE - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 01 SEP 1864 Dundee, Angus, Scotland 3. JAMES CLARK - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 08 SEP 1868 Dundee, Angus, Scotland 4. THOMAS CLARK - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 15 MAR 1862 Dundee, Angus, Scotland 5. RICHARD BLAKE CLARK - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 08 MAR 1867 Dundee, Angus, Scotland Try searching for Bernards birth (which seems to appear in 1871, not 1870 as shown above) or the 1871 census for Bernard. He's the one with the usual name which may help Mhairi

Annie

Annie Report 17 Nov 2006 01:45

Mhaira, Whats the IGI is that another site? is it better? and what is that info from? can you tell me the web address please? I've just thought - on the death certificate for James clark's daughter (1901 cenus with Annie Alice Clark in Northumberland) the signature of the death certificate was W.A. Clark (Uncle)...so whoever his parents are they should have a son called W? Annie

IGI - International Genealogical Index (i think) is Scottish Old Parish registers transcribed by the mormons and put on to familysearch.org - its free and a great help but wont tell you the fathers occupation so you wont be able to confirm. It also only has info up to 1875 for Scotland so if they had any more children then they wont be there so the brother with the name beginning W might have been born after 1875. Mhairi

should I order it Mhairi, I just think it's a real stab in the dark - what connects it?

Annie

Annie Report 17 Nov 2006 01:53

Mhairi, When I'm on that IGI site does it automatically look through scottish records too - because I can't see any? Annie

Annie

Annie Report 17 Nov 2006 01:56

Just thought Mhairi, If WA clark was up in Northumberland - maybe he was living up there? what do you think... Maybe I should do a search on him?

Annie

Annie Report 17 Nov 2006 01:59

Night Night Mhairi, Don't blame you for going.. I'm off now too, my head hurts! There must be another way around this? The certificate is £10 and there's no hint of a connection? Annie x yawnnnnn

Mhairi Queen of Scots Report 17 Nov 2006 01:59

ok IGI question first on the main page, go to the top and click on 'search' (between home and share) Now on the left hand side click International Genealogical Index Put in the name/s and click Brittish Islands as the Region and Scotland as the country I'll have a wee look on Scotlands people to see if i can make anything more solid Mhairi

I think your on the wrong bit on Scotlandspeople Annie, with the credits you should be able to view the births after 1855 to 1905. I've just got up Bernard Carks death cert which shows his father as a FRENCH POLISHER! so looks like we have the right family! Mhairi (who's still here :) )

Annie

Annie Report 17 Nov 2006 02:06

you beauty - let me look at that scottish site again, then I'm going to try and get that family up... what a break through... AMAZING MHAIRI, AMAZING MHAIRI ooops too much lucozade ahhahaha I'm soooo happy now,,

Annie

Annie Report 17 Nov 2006 02:08

Well, Mhairi, I've viewed a document - and printed it off - is it the same one you order and pay £10 for? There's a few births on there? Doesn't he get his own? Annie

Annie Report 17 Nov 2006 02:08

have you got work tomorrow?

Mhairi Queen of Scots

Mhairi Queen of Scots Report 17 Nov 2006 02:10

I think so but its just a bit more fancy. I have the 1871 census return for them if you want to send me your email address, saves you spending the credits on it. I have to tell you though that...Thomas...was from...Ireland which will cause you even more confusion i can promise you. Mhairi

Annie

Annie Report 17 Nov 2006 02:12

[email protected] now everyone knows it haha who cares! Thank you soooo much... So my notes will be it must be the person because you looked up one of the sons and on it - it had the father as Thomas Clark and he was a French Polisher. And is it Thomas that was born in Ireland? (the daddy)
