Oh Jess, The last couple of replies had me in stitches!!! That's what you get for trying to look clever in front of your workmates!!!!!!! (Just had a thought....how on earth do you find time to work - you're on here most of the time?) lol Kath. x

Kathleen - My role at the school is very insignificant, and just sometimes you need to do 'something' to get yourself up there with the rest of them, that do know it all (and know it). This is something i have the ability to do, and do reasonably well (maybe i cant?) All gone a bit pear shaped really. maybe i shouldn't have even tried (not because of what you did Alter at all, please dont think you did anything wrong)... because like Kath says , all i was tying to do was look clever. jess x

Well Jess, I think you ARE clever!!! You do plenty for a lot of people on here. I know what you mean though about work. I was a dinner nanny years ago and a lot of people (teachers, auxilliary workers and such) looked on us as if we were the lowest of the low in school, whereas I think looking after children is quite an important job. It was always good to be able to prove that you had a brain too. Kath. x

A very well spoken chap by the name of Stuart Barnes just phoned...............:-) Lord Overstone Colonel Rawlings = 2 prevoius incumbants. Was a school from 1955 but he suspects it was one at another time. Apparently there must be some sort of local early censi-1800-1851 that some local researcher has used. School was part of a manor, there were 3 manors in all, which is quite unusual.
