I am angry! ...

bit of background...I have two cats...adopted when a neighbour 'disowned' them to the RSPCA ...inspector asked if (as I was feeding them because I couldn't bear to see them starve) I could at least keep them till after Christmas as there was nowhere for them to go. So ,lol, they stayed...since then I have fed one of their other cats and had it in when the weather is bad.

This morning I opened the door and there was one of their 3 other cats lying there, its leg was caught up in its collar and on looking I realised must have been like that for at very least a week...it has cut into its leg and neck and the cat has not been able to eat I am sure.....

if i take it back 'home' it will not be looked after or fed ,so I have it here....at least for a few days to see if I can help it..it has managed to drink and i have just liquidized some fish for it (I HATE the small of boiled fish lol).

Thankyou if anyone has listened! lol just needed to get it off my chest LOL

Why do people have animals when they don't want to look after them? This makes me MAD, too!!!

Hi Rose and Lindy x

I think maybe a call to the rspca is needed in this instance !

Hi Lindy and Ann,

I know, if you don't want animals don' t have them! I am really a 'dog person' but (fanciful though it may be!) I swear since my mum died she has been sending all these cats to me! She was a cat lover and always collected strays and looked after them.....lol

I agree with Lindy. Why!
We were feeding a stray cat a year or two back now, Then one Friday night at about 7ish we noticed it was in the porch not looking to good so we rang the RSPCA up so the could sort it out with the vets. The answer was I can't I'm the only one on call I'm in Harrigate you to far away in East Yorkshire. Take it your self tomorrow, well the poor thing we never saw it again.

The trouble is Rose, that if these people lose their animals, they will only go out and get another.......I know people like this too.......to them animals are expendable....

......in my perfect world these people would spontaneously combust...!

Perhaps a call to RSPCA and then they can check the other cats.

We had a person (don't call her a lady) who lived three doors away and had about 7 cats well she moved took all but one just left him here, bless him he comes in here and finishes my threes food and then goes up a few doors away and is fed, but doesn't go inside, stays out all the time I don't have him in as he sprayed in here once.

Merlin...don't you Meoww at me...lol am not taking you in ,no way no how! LOL

The RSPCA inspector had to come from S Wales last time...covers the whole of Wales so not easy. They will only get more cats/dogs so on a hiding to nothing really.!
The dogs seem ok and the other two cats...

Hi Taff, 'tis a longer story than I have put here and I may yet do that, but suffice to say they will 'plead ignorance'....xx

Taff

Taff Report 13 Mar 2008 15:40

how can you be to ignorant to care for a cat? I have 2 cats, or rather they have me, all they need is a bit of t.l.c., and if the owners havent got that they shouldnt be allowed to keep animals!!
You have me ranting now Rose!!!

Rather than look on the miserable side of the situation,
Imagine yourself as the cat, and how you have just met a special human.
Is the cat black?

rose/little ann,

If the cat is black, I'm doing the euro millions and winning it on friday. When I buy my chatoe....."my french is terrible" you are invited for dinner, bring the cats, they can have the left overs.
