Sea bass fillets with tomato and olive oil

2 large ripe tomatoes
6 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp dried chilli flakes, or a chopped fresh chilli
.5 glass white wine
Salt and pepper
4 fillets of sea bass
Place the tomatoes in a bowl of boiling water and leave for about 10 seconds. Drain, then slip off the skins, cut the tomatoes in half and scoop out the seeds. Dice the flesh neatly into pea-sized pieces.

Heat the oil in a wide, shallow pan, and add the garlic, parsley and chilli. Cook for two minutes, then add the tomato and cook for another two minutes. Add the wine, raise the heat and bubble for two minutes. Season with salt and pepper, lower the heat, and lay the sea bass fillets, skin side up, in the pan. Cover and cook for five minutes.

Serve the fillets, skin side down, with the sauce poured over them.

Some people are so cruel.

I have 3 cats (& 2 dogs), On Monday morning we noticed our littlest cat limping badly so I took her to the vet as I thought she had broken her leg. They couldn't feel a break so kept her in overnight (after giving her a pain killer and anti inflamatory jab). Next day was bearing a little weight but they decided to xray as she didn't like her pelvis/base of tail touched.

The xray revealed she hadn't got a break, but was extremely bruised. We don't know if it was a clip from a car, a fall, or if someone had booted her! The vet feels the latter due to the size of the bruising.

Why?

She is a sweet little thing and always comes up to you if you call her. I don't know why anyone would want to hurt her.

I'm collecting her from vets later today as she has had to be confined to allow the bruising to get a little better. Won't know until I pick her up from vet if she will have to be confined in my dogs cage for a while longer. Shame, she loves playing about in the garden!

I'll be glad to get her back, and the other two cats are missing her too!

I share my next door neighbours cat, and he takes full advantage of the situation. His name is Charlie and he knows that I am a total sucker for all animals.
He uses us as a short cut..........in the back door ,nose around, stand by front door and wait for someone to open it. He then uses my ' flid mobile' as his own hotel lol. He has got it sussed in the winter when the rain canopy is on he can get on the seat out of the wind and rain and watch the world, and assorted other cats go by without being disturbed ! That is unless I need the scooter then I have to wipe off the muddy paw prints and black fur, oh yes and have to pick him up cos he wont move lol.
Anyone who cant be kind to animals disserves shooting in my book.

I am sorry to tell all those who added yesterday, that despite my best efforts, the little cat's condition deteriorated overnight and it died about half an hour ago.

But at least it had a little warmth and relative peace....

PLEASE can I ask..if you have ' outdoor' cats...do not let them roam wearing a collar.
