In real life, I can be serious if I have to, but not on here.

But it doesn't stop me trying to be polite to everyone or caring about them.

For myself... the boards mean different things at different times, depending on my mood, health and circumstances.

I have a *visual* sort of mentality... I have always put an image or aura around something or someone I am reading about... like reading a book, if I can't visualize it, or don't *see* the main characters, the book never gets read.


So...... the boards are very real to me... I mostly *see* the people behind the threads and posts... where I can't, I don't read.

lol Daft...this is an ever open book...

lol Hayley.... I was considered to be a dreamy and introverted child... I loved books, and people watching.... hated most fairy stories cos I *visualized* them too much, lol (over-active imagination, lol) and there is such an element of cruelty in so many of them, and it became real to me and caused me nightmares!!. I loved Aesops Fables though!!

The boards are a bit like that for me at times, lol!!

Why would someone want to be better than others
This isnt the idea.No it's not a competition.Should just be fun and chats

I treat the boards as I would meeting with people in real life, some I get on with and enjoy interacting with, others irk me with their actions but try to stear clear of them. As in real life you will have some who court attention more than others but we are all individual and have our own little quirks. Not everyone will get on but not everyone will in real life.

But in answer to your question there are certain aspects I take seriously but others not at all.

I agree with Jax and Daff. I too visualise the 'characters' on here and like Jax some I like some I don't have anything in common with.

I come on here for many reasons, information - there is a lot of that, support, I have had that and was grateful, and I try to give it also. -A laugh, plenty of that and friendship, plenty of that too.

The boards are great if you can rise above any trouble making and not let it get to you. Luckily I also have a life off the boards. If the boards are your life that can be difficult I imagine. The opening up of the cyber world must have created problems for those who are maybe alone and house bound, they will take any trouble or strife on here to heart because this is their world.
