I,m just reading everyones choice of places to visit and smiling at how we all view the grass on the other side of the fence. I,m going to Canada (Niagara Falls) this Saturday ( to buy the crackers and selection boxes) and New York nearer to Christmas but what I,d love most of all is to do my Crimbo shopping in Chester and then go to watch a panto in Llandudno on Boxing Day.lol

Irishgirl, I live just an hour east of Niagara Falls, in upstate New York. I,ll be there for about 3 hours and then smuggle my "loot" back over the border. hehe It,s not as expensive as England either.lol

Back to Namibia, see our mates again.

Ireland again.

Because it was in the news when I was at primary school I have always wanted to go to Tristan da Cunha.

Then we come back down to earth and think about maybe a couple of days in Bruges.

Don't do the battlefields as a little break. You will not come back feeling good.

Sharron, We must be about the same age. I remember hearing about Tristan De Cuhna in primary school too. Was there anything left after the volcano blew? I too loved Namibia although very dry.

I will be 56 in January. They all went back home eventually and most of them had been living around Pompey I believe.

Yes Namibia is extremely dry but what can you expect of a country with two deserts? That is greed at it's most extreme.

Oh, I,m just a tiny bit older (5* in March.)lol. I remember seeing newsreels about those islanders and being fascinated that they all spoke in 1800's English. Anyway, my apologies to Irishgirl. Didn,t mean to hijack her thread. xx

I would like to take the Orient Express to Venice, and stay in the Cipriani Hotel.

Sit in St Marks Square in the evening drinking coffee at Florians, and listening to the music.

Back home on the Orient Express, not fly.

Interesting Thread Irishgirl
Back to Tasmania and see more of it.
The rugged coastline with the highest cliffs in the world are just awe enspiring. My hubby and I have just visited this year. We went on a very fast boat around the bottom of Tassie. I wish I could put pictures on here for you to see it was just magnificent. Such a Pretty place Tasmania I saw snow for the first time in 41 years as it has a lot of Mountains. I even made a snowball lol.
The seafood is just amazing
Hopefully go back again one day.
Regards
Jackie
