Where would I most like to go?
The choice is difficult, as I've several I'd love to see............but top of my list are these....

A trip on the Trans Siberian railway, Moscow to Vladivostok.
Winter Palace, St Petersburg.
Koruna, to see the Northern Lights.
Afghanistan when it is once again a safe place to travel.
Trakai,Lithuania.

Yes Mrs Jolly Jingles and Ann of Green Gables,

Of all the places I have been Venice is for me.

I had been years ago, and when my OH went with me a few years ago. I made him shut his eyes when we walked into St Marks Square for the first time. To put the icing on the cake one of the orchestras was playing 'Summertime in Venice'
This brought back memories of the film with Rossano Brazzi and Katherine Hepburn, which was always one of my favourites.

OH was absolutely enchanted by it all, and has a love of Venice, the same as I do.

Dont know if we shall ever get the chance to go again, but who knows.

And Ann, if what I am led to believe is true, when we leave this world, we are able to go to these places in spirit, so you and your beloved may be able to do this one day.

Karen in the desert

My son did the Trans Siberian express from Moscow to Peking, 1 week break in Ulan Bhatar, Mongolia and then 2 months back packing around China with his best friend who is Chinese.

He said the train was great for the first day but two weeks of it was horrendous. Mind, they were travelling 2nd class.

He flew back!
