Lee Rewmick starred opposite Gregory Peck ( a fine actor ) in THE OMEN
I think it was her last film

Has Sybil Shepherd been in anything ? She was excellent in Moonlighting

Had to dig deep down in to "my threads" to find this thread..though its only a month since the last posting..

Pam, Ed, David, are you around?

I know Elizabeth is about as shes posting threads today

Went to cinema on Wednesday to see Up in the Air...the latest one from George Clooney...

I think its up for a load of Oscars, it was good ,but not brilliant, probably more one for the girls than the men, funny in parts, and George is very good in it, { very dapper in an assortment of smart suits...a bit Cary Grant if you know what I mean}....

Strange though, no other famous names apart from Sam Elliot who is only in one scene.....

Anyone else seen anything new??

Hello Nicky and David...

We've had a good week so far here in north Norfolk, no rain and lovely and sunny...yes spring seems to be on it's way at long last. What a long winter it's been

I bought a DVD a week or two back, the film is called White Sands, William Defough (spelling) and Mickey Rourke...think I'm going through a Mickey stage!! It was made in 1992 so he does look rather nice still. I thought it was a good film. FBI and gun running etc. Samual L Jackson is in it too.

Thanks for keeping the thread going while I negleted it somewhat!

Hope you're all well.

Pam. ☺

Hasn't Morgan Freeman done well paired with Clint Eastwood ? First saw them together in some western. Now Morgan's playing Nelson Mandella, in a film produced and directed by Clint Eastwood.

I know Morgan freeman was brilliant in shawshank redemption, but can`t remember him with Clint... by the wya your new Robet De Niro boxset sounds brilliant..just love The Deer Hunter and Goodfellas.......I know many don`t because of the swearing, ... Casino,,,sosn`t that star Sharon Stone as well?..

Pam ..you and your Mickey Rourke....enjoy....

Nickydownsouth Report 6 Mar 2010 22:38

Thanks david... The Unforgiven ...of course....

Not sure about it being an Alan Ladd remake...

Pam...... Never really liked Mickey Rourke myself ,and think all his recent plastic surgery is not very flattering......have you seen that Wrestler film which he won a load of awards for last year?

Nicky

☼ Pam ☼ Report 6 Mar 2010 22:55

Hi Nicky, no not seen The Wrestler, it's apparantly supposed to be a very good film and has brought him back into the favor of Hollywood directors and producers after he f***ed it all up by his own stupidity and went a bit mad...(by his own admission) I don't know why, when he had it all, especially after making nine and a half weeks and becoming very popular with the ladies, he decided to go back and do boxing again! I know what you mean about his plastic surgery, he looks dreadful now doesn't he, mind you not quite as bad as he did a year or two back as I think his facial muscles seemed to have relaxed a bit. Guess what colour eyes he has? Yeah you've guessed it...brown! you know I like my brown eyes. lol lol.

David The Unforgiven, an exellent film.

David you must have a large collection of DVD's by now. You'll have to start renting them out!

I think, but I could be wrong, that Cheryl Ladd was Alan Ladd's daughter in law. She was fair like him so you could be right, but I think I remember reading way back about her splitting up from Alan Ladd's son.
