Just wondered if there was anyone on here that would like to read The boy in the blue striped pyjamas, Oh and myself have just finished reading it and as it is in paperback and quite light weight l wouldn't mind letting someone else have a read of it, l will pay for the postage so if you would like to read it give me a shout.

Just watched the film last week. Have you seen the film, and if so was it the same as the book, as they sometimes change things?

Can't send my book to anyone as the psotage would be more than the book! However I found this book to be profoundly moving and cannot stop thinking about it. Have recommended it to so many people...all who have been touched by it. My husband read it and was quiet for several hours, now that is unusual!
My sister sped through it, the opposite of me, I just had to keep re reading each chapter.

the film, well I watched it on TV and as usal the ethos is true to the film but it has been "interrpreted" as many books are when made into films.

I hope everyone finds something special in this book.

I have the DVD and lent it to a friend who had read the book, she said the end of the film was altered a bit and not as moving as the end of the book.

Read the book a few months back - and found it really moving. Other people have found the same.
Mum had to get it on audio - as she has sight problems, and she found it moving too.
Have not watched the film - yet - but plan on doing so soon

Hello Mummo

Just to let you know that mine is also a Paperback but as I live in Spain it really is expensive to send on, and I keep my books for visitors to read whilst they are visiting us..

Are there any other books that people have read that they would recommend. I read a review about the Glass Painters Daughter and a friend is bringing that out for me in late August, can't wait fro that to arrive as I have never read anything by the author before.

Morning Bossyboots, l do read a lot of books but what l tend to do is go to my local boot sale and pick up about a dozen books at a time ranging from 10p to a £1 a book, as my husband also is a avid reader too it doesn't break the bank. Sometimes when l'm shopping l do see a certain book l want to read so l will pay the full price but this latest one...........Boy in the blue striped pyjamas was one that l really did want to read and just thought others would like to read it also and better than gathering dust. I will have to have a look at the book you recommended.

What a lovely thought - how kind & generous!
My friend lent me the book but I bought the audio CD which has an interview with the author at the end. Several friends have borrowed this and have said how moving this is. At present working through a list of friends who wish to borrow.

Love
