Hello Maggie, I love it! I had some Haiku poetry published in the school magazine about a century ago.

If I can find it I will submit it - I know I still have the mag. somewhere - but you haven't seen my attic. ! :((

Morning all.... I am having a huge problem writing about me, per se..... I am fine fictionalising various incidents, lol.... but not personalising.... it has been a good exercise for me......

I shall try to finish what has been going around in my head - sleepless night, not the fault of the assignment, lol, but it was instrumental in me digging out and reliving obscure memories and emotions from the past.

Some of them are very good stand-alone subjects though..... and they are the interesting bits... I would hate to bore you all with the humdrum!!

So... I may be a bit late... I have to go and play row your boat now, and then going to catch up on some more sleep.....

I still can't get my brain into gear.... is it all right if I hang on to it for another day or so... it has been very hard to do, I have found!

Hardest has been striking the correct balance... flippant, is how I am getting it... or it descends into Greek tragedy, lolol

It is tough, isn't it Daff? I have written my little piece in the third person, well that's the way it turned out and I was more comfortable with that. Like standing back and looking on. XX

Daff, that is exactly the idea. Far better not to just run a piece off, but to write a draft so you get the idea/story onto paper, put it away for a few days or even weeks, then when you get it out again, you'll read it with fresh eyes. Then edit it so it works the best you can get it to work.

It's not a thing to be rushed.

Just looking at the set piece for this week, I may give that one a miss, I really think you all know rather a lot about me from All the Fun of the fair (I think you all guessed that Sarah is me in disguise!!) And also some will have read my life story. Also I don't have a lot of time immediately as I still have unpacking, washing etc to do.

We've been really manic at work, and as i work from home it's spilling out all over the place and things aren't getting done that should! Yes thanks, we had a good time and the weather was lovely. Bit of a shock yesterday as it was wet and windy and dark but today it is sunny although breezy and quite pleasant. Not been out anywhere though as I have been unpacking, washing, OH has been ironing and sorting his greenhouse and then I had the monthly bank check etc to do to make sure we are still solvent Lol!!!!

Apologies for not sending out this week's exercises, I've been a bit busy. Got abusy week ahead of me too, so you're free to write what you want this week....absolutely anything :-)))

I might have caught up by Sunday....
