Have managed to find a birth for a George Edward Skerry in Lewisham Greater London Kent in the April quarter of 1856. Cannot find the death in 1930 though. |

Thank you Rita, it was lucky this pic had a name on it otherwise it would have remained in the suitcase it came from. Last year I managed to find another pic at the same bootsale which was 112 yrs old. It was a small military group. I managed to trace the Great nephew of one of the men in the photo to Holland. The picture is now back in the hands of a family member where it should rightly be. Such a shame so many of these photos have no names or markings and that they will remain lost forever. It is such a buzz to find their true homes. |

Hi PollyPoppet, yes I think that is him. Thank you for taking the time to look up this info. Hopefully someone will recognise these are their family members and claim the photo. |

I can't help with the photo, unfortunately, but my ggg grandfather lived at 9 Mount Place, Charlton, so they would have been neighbours. |

Nothing to do with this man, but my OH was born in Charlton and the street name is familiar. Have to look at his birth certificate! |

Hello AnotherCanuck, thank you for the info you have added, very interesting. It looks quite possible that the family have emigrated to Canada including Mabel. I will try to find any descendants of Mabel and Horace. |
