My Dad had his hip replacement done while he was awake, *squirms* he had an epidural and something else, then that was it old one out new one in...me just knock me out and wake me up the week after lol :-D :-D

GP...my Dad said its the best thing he ever had done Petal, he still works and wont stop working, on his feet all the time the ickle tinker....I remember walking in to see him in the afternoon, me and mum holding hands dreading to see him, cos he is a proper scaredy cat, and low and behold he was sitting up, cuppa tea, sandwich, the newspaper, and when asked did he want any pain relief he said no....now for my wimp of a Dad thats saying something :-D :-D ;-) ;-)
