Sharron

Sharron Report 15 Feb 2014 02:26

Wide awake, ready for action.

Having had the long soak in the lavender bath, I was savouring the long hours of uninterrupted sleep I was immersed in.

At 1.50am the phone rang. OH answered and woke me up.

I, naturally, donned the imaginary black hat and arm band.

A doctor was just checking details!

They will be x-raying his head before they send him home, probably later today.

Sharron - so sorry to read this morning that Fred had a bit of a turn and has been admitted to hospital again. I hope and pray that it is nothing to serious and that he will be back home later today - take care and try not worry <3

Obviously he was not as well as he thought when he went for his sausage sandwich.. Never mind, as long as he enjoyed it. Hope you got a good nights sleep and didn't lay awake worrying about him Sharron. Maybe the hospital should not have been so quick to send him home last time. :-(

Sharron Report 15 Feb 2014 10:47

Maybe I know why they sent him home as soon as they could.

I just hope they have some washing up for him this morning.

It sounded like they were hoping to get rid of him when they rung up last night.

Apart from the one little blip last night, I had forgotten what a good night's sleep felt like. I actually want to get up and get on with it this morning.

Glad you had a good sleep. I hope they keep Fred there until they are sure he is recovering now. At least he is less likely to escape out from there and make himself worse again. :-)

He is in AMU (I think that means acute medical unit) now. I am trying to get through to them but nobody is answering the phone.

Too busy I expect. They have got him in there.

Have contacted the ward. Didn't speak to a nurse, busy with a patient.

His mate is going in to see him. Taking his false teeth.

Terrible daughter? Really he would rather see his mate than me. I am the fat controller, his mate is his partner in crime.

Sharron Report 15 Feb 2014 15:00

Have now spoken to a nurse and he will be having a CT scan (she said that was of his head) on Monday so they can have him until then.

With a bit of luck I will be having another night's sleep tonight and, I am going to go out to the quiz.

Don't care if the power goes off tonight even!

He is in the best place Sharron and you can do a bit of recouping and charging your batteries.

All in all the best for both of you ;-) <3

He is being looked after and you can have some relaxing time.

Hope Fred will be ok but good that someone else is caring for him for a bit, so you can recharge your batteries before he is back to wind you up lol

I thought about you when I was watching Jonathan Ross show, Andrew Marr was on, talking about his recovery from his stroke, and saying how lucky he was to be able to have afforded daily physio etc. He mentioned how many younger people are having strokes and not getting the aftercare they need to lead fuller lives. It made me think of you and all you have done for Fred to keep him active and enjoying life.

Well done, maybe you should teach some of these Stroke wards what to do with their patients and not to let them think they have been written off.

All the best to Fred, and to his pal too, what a star he is.
