His son Eric ,named after Simon,s dad who he adored , was born yesterday 2 weeks early

Weighed in at 6lbs 7ozs.

Simon did a big dash by private jet to be with his girlfriend when she gave birth.

Congrats to both of them.

Well not a fan either but thats not the baby,s fault

Hope Simon can be a supportive dad to his son and to the mother

But how they manage their relationship is up to them surely

i quite like it, my daughter's dog is called Eric too..he is lovely.

I wonder had the baby been a girl if she would have been named Erica ?

Well congratulations to the mammy & daddy on the birth of baby Eric
....I looked the name up and it's old Norse meaning ....one, alone, ruler, prince, powerful...so take your pick :-)

I do like the feminine Erica though :-D but not so keen on the meaning weak and fragile :-(

Congratulations to them both.

Not sure about the name 'Eric' but then again, there are many names which I wouldn't saddle a baby with.
