The 50p coin with a design of Kew Gardens on its face has been revealed as the rarest coin in circulation, with only 1 in every 300 people in the UK thought to have it in their change. |

There are over 30 on ebay at the moment. Last week you could have got one for £15 outright but word seems to have got around that they are in demand and this has pushed the price right up. |

The really high prices are for uncirculated versions in mint condition. Circulated ones seem to be bidding around £70, but still a few hours left on those I just looked at so could easily top the ton. |
