is there ever a case when a man hits a woman that is acceptable?
Honest question?

Or vice versa.

To me it,s a big no .. visa versa
but it does happen and sometimes you have to look at the reasons

But why would anyone want to hear the reasons? ...anyone who even attempted to hit me......I would be out of there.......No second chances......let the reasons be found without my help.

can't think I've ever hit anyone but must say, at the moment, I could happily smack someone across the chops :-D :-D :-D :-D

Now whilst this is not based on lengthy research I think it's probably not far out, emotions run high, drink is knocked back and the weather is hot... all triggers if you have a temper.

Do I think it is ever acceptable? no, but aside from the clearly poor excuse that your team lost, I can see circumstances where it is 'understandable'...eg in self defence.

Having said that, I have known a number of people female and male i would like to slap, and one I came within an ace of pushing down a long flight of stairs.... but I didn't. :-D

NO BC .. my Mums 89 this year and she has admitted to slapping a few guys across the face during WW2 ..

Did anyone see that true drama the other night? ....I think it was called 'Murdered by my Boyfriend'........I wonder how many women were in her position and couldn't seem to get away......if anyone didn't see it and/or is in a violent relationship, it is a must see....I am sure it can be found on catchup......Some answers may be found there too.

I think I just said I had known a few men and women I had FELT like slapping, and had once come close to pushing someone downstairs ( not THAT close I just thought about it) ....but DID NEITHER, so why was my post reported? I was not advocating violence...I was in fact pointing out that the temptation to use it could and should be resisted even if there is 'just cause' ( and since the reporter does not KNOW the circumtances shouldn't they have asked?)

Perhaps the reporter would like to know that the person I came closest to hurting EVER as mentioned , had just punched my son in the chest ? That person was drunk and had completely randomly chosen to attack a 10 year old.

Perhaps they are in a violent relationship Sirius, or know someone who is.....what seems like a flippant remark to one is a devastating blow to someone going through Hell.......just a thought

NO way do I ever think domestic violence is justified but its not black and white in my view
I would cheerfully have bopped daughters second hubby but I knew he would play the system . he did later but we got him !! and I would have been had up not him for what he had done

Glad I kept my composure and outdid him ,he thought he was so clever but we were more with it

Ironically , I do hope the same person who reported me has seen the other thread just posted?
