Lady Scozz - spiders in my house are always called Boris in homage to the song. :-D :-D :-D

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey;

Along came a spider,
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.

Removed the (much smaller) huntsman today - possibly saved it's life, as it was caught in cobwebs! Grandson's thought it beautiful, grand daughter pleased it has been removed. :-D

Caught the jumping spider in the cat's water bowl. I realised today, it spent most of it's time right by the water, just moved away when I went close to it.

Grandsons interested - grand daughter shuddered :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Poor spider it was probably living there. :-( :-( :-(
They love sitting on the dashboard where the flies end up.
Might have been Septimus! :-D :-D :-D

lol Bill....... one night, there were 4 women in a car... I was the driver.........

One of them said... I hope that spider is on the outside..........of the windscreen

It wasn't!

The biggest hairiest Huntsman I've ever seen....... you could see its eyes!

The four doors of the car opened, four screaming women got out and stood in the street.

The bravest (not me!) took off her shoe and flicked the spider away........ to the sound of the other three screeeeeeeeaming!

I hate spiders.

Havn't got a big garden, no spiders around here. Magpies would get rid of them,

Many people I know have Huntsmen in their cars, keep it clear of flies and crawling Insects. You don't see them while driving, they just come out at night when all is quiet.

Just identified the spider in the cat's water bowl - it is, as I thought, a jumping spider.

No. You may end up slipping on a huuuuge slug! No guinea pigs now.

When it rains, I don't so much as walk up the path , as crunch up it, as I tread on snails.
I can't/ won't put killer down as I have sloworms and hedgehogs in the (smallish) garden.

....and lots of spiders!

LadyScozz Report 30 Aug 2014 01:24

lol Maggie

Is it safe to walk around in your garden without shoes??

:-D

maggiewinchester Report 30 Aug 2014 01:20

Don't like caged pets - even spiders. The guinea pigs my children had as pets had the run of the garden during the day - but were locked up at night in case of marauding foxes.
They 'beat up' our cats if they got too close - used to attack their paws! :-D
Their reputation spread, and they could be found trimming the neighbour's lawns :-D :-D

Still came back at night though.

It's the big ones wearing boots I don't like........ clomping around the house in the middle of the night.

:-)

Huntsman wont bother you either.

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 30 Aug 2014 00:58

umm - no thanks Scozz.
There's a live one and a smaller dead one (UK size - possibly male) on the window of the spare bedroom (where grandchildren are sleeping tomorrow).

I certainly don't want the Ozzie version :-S :-S

Just realised this talk of various spiders lurking in my house, do I sound like I'm a bit lax on the housework front? :-S

- before being put in the garden!!

If the huntsman is foolish enough to still be on the window tomorrow, it will be caught in an insect viewer for my grandchildren to view :-D :-D
