So tragic that an unarmed innocent man was killed by these morons, may he rest in peace and his family find comfort in their memories. The same for the soldier killed earlier in the week. |

Sylvia sorry only picking this up now. Likewise I wonder how he could run around Ottawa with a gun in full view, let alone his face covered with a scarf. In Toronto we might have thought he was just another one of our interesting people except for the gun. As for the future today everything is carrying on as much as normal as possible, and will not change that much for Nov 11th. |

I heard the military top brass asked everyone to think of him too during yesterday journey. Some of the tributes at hockey etc have mentioned them both , agreed it is sad he's being forgotten somewhat. Yesterday saw much of the journey on TV, never seen so many people at the side of the highway and cars pulling right over to allow them clear access. I thought they were both getting full military funerals, maybe the family requested a small family one instead. For those not in the know, this is a very busy highway and it was mostly during rush hour so it's normally more of a parking lot. I know it's not the mother fault the actions of her son but if I were her I'd be arranging to leave something in my will for that poor child, no one has mentioned any siblings for the killer, and the parents whilst not mega rich are certainly not poor. |
