a snowstorm worse than any since the 1800s is expected in NY and surrounding east coast states - now we usually get what they get about a week later - what d'you think?

Oooooo...my dad always used to say that and he was usually right. Sure I heard on forecast this morning that it is turning wintry here on Wednesday...not sure which parts of the country though, so if your right Ann we might get a double dose :-0 :-0

Heard on the news Ann that they are expecting
between 20 to 30 inches of snow :-0

That's what they used to say, US today, UK tomorrow but we didn't get the last lot.

They can keep it :-P

Should I panic do you think :-0 and go load my car up with anything and everything I can lay my hands on at the supermarket???

At the moment 'they' think it will become bitterly cold throught the UK from Wednesday onwards. As usual the northern parts will get any snow that's going.

Prickly, I'm with you. I hate it if the milkman or postie takes a short cut across our virgin snow.

Being woken up to the sound of shovels scraping the pavements wasn't the best start to a weekend when we were kids.
The local miseries didn't even give us chance to gasp in wonderment and admire :-P :-P :-P

Prickles,,,I would certainly get plenty of supplies in,you don't want to be snowed in....

I'm in touch with a cousin in Massachusetts. He has sent emails all week, about the snow that's falling and how cold it is.

Ofcourse I have to reply with information about our sub-tropical weather :-D

We never actually get "America's weather" - it is pure coincidence.
