I used to love the American style breakfast of buttermilk pancakes, bacon, sausage, with maple syrup, as a treat ...................... but I do NOT add jam to the "biscuit"


BTW .............. the "biscuit" is really a savoury type of bun, not the UK biscuit :-)


now, I'm dairy-intolerant, so I can't have them.




we make English-style pancakes from scratch, using a 50-50 (or 50-40) mix of soy milk and water ....... OOPS ...... 50/50 or 60/40 :-)


but that doesn't work for buttermilk pancakes :-)



it is only just after noon here, so we haven't had our pancakes ........... we will be having them for dinner :-)



with lemon juice and sugar.
