Home made Chelsea buns from our local baker who did ALL his baking on the premises.

Mum would go to his shop early on a Friday morning and buy two .still warm. buns for myself and sister to take to work with a fresh roll each for our lunch .

Dad got paid on a Thursday so mum had her new weeks housekeeping. We didnt need a dinner when we got home later

They were delicious

I only like Ambrosia sago

and don't like tapioca or semolina
though if I went to somebody house for tea and it was given to me as a sweet
I would sort of force it down :-D :-D

OOOOH Chelsea Buns are delicious, Whirled around light pastry type with some spice and currents and topped with some sugar crystals Was sort of a dough pastry.

Never had as good ones as out local baker made ,

I do sometimes succumb at the supermarket but they always disappoint
