UzziAndHerDogs Report 23 Feb 2015 19:00

I have never been addicted to anything enough to give up my plans to go anywhere.
Years ago a pub I worked in used to put on "prisoner cell block H" for the customers now considering we had "officially" closed this used to p me off.

Another time I tried to find a pub where 30+ canal boats could have a meal, I asked them to turn the TV down, so we could at least talk, as they had some soap on and got told Sorry no ...we went elsewhere. The pub company went ballistic when they found out.

My OH went so out of his way once to find somewhere to take me for my birthday that was NOT showing football. bless

Now I will be fair as a publican we used to show football. I refused to put soaps on.

Now I love Downton Abbey but I have missed episode because of things happening. I missed the xmas one because I had MIL here and she was more important than a TV programme

So are you addicted to anything or can you leave it :-0

Quite a few programmes I like. Absolutely nothing I'm addicted to.
I can't record, neither can I watch things when I want - you know, when you can go back on your TV.
I can't see the point - everything's repeated ad nauseam now we have so many channels.

Might I suggest programmes like the Teletubbies or perhaps Bill and Ben the Flower Pot Men for one particular member on here.

How very childish.

PricklyHolly

PricklyHolly Report 23 Feb 2015 20:26

Perhaps it's because I can record programmes that I don't think about any programmes I am addicted to.

Thinking back mind...........I would have pushed a granny off the bus to make sure I got home in time to watch episodes of "Roots" and "The Thorn Birds"

I have them both on dvd now.

:-D

I'm not addicted to TV but we do subscribe to Netflix and my kids are addicted...

My two younger daughters sat and watched every single episode of Pretty Little Liars until they caught up with current US TV showings.
There are roughly 25 x1hr episodes in every series

It took them less than 2 weeks to watch all the episodes up the middle of series 5, when they caught up with current TV schedules.

If I hear that intro music just one more time... ( Got A Secret, Can You Keep It.)..I'll scream!
