Alex had this condition and it's heart breaking to know that 12 young people die from it every week, and that's in the UK only.

Thank you for all your replies. xxx

Suzy I am shocked to read how many young people die from this heart condition every week. It happened to my nieces brother in law just before his fifteenth birthday.
Still thinking of you <3

My heart goes out to you Suzy.

Loosing some so young must be very hard, its bad enough loosing a very close friend.
But to lose a child I can't imagine and to be honest I don't think I could handle what you must have gone through.

If its any comfort there are a lot of good people looking after him, Jean Durrant, BC and Our Dizz to name a few.

If you ever need to talk, cry or shout at any body I'm here just let me know.

Guinevere, I think that is a very good tribute to what must have been a very respected young man.

Been thinking about you and all your family and Alex's friends, Suzy.

Maybe it's time all young people were checked out at an early age to try to make sure other families don't lose beloved sons or daughters. A friend of mine from school lost her son 20 years ago. They watched him play football for his local team, went home leaving him to celebrate with his friends and got a call on the way home to say he had collapsed and died, aged 16.

Tragic

Have only just read this and can only add my thoughts for you as others have done.
To lose a child of any age seems so sad.
We all hope our children will outlive us and it seems so unfair.
Thinking of you Suzy and your family..... <3 <3 <3

All Children should be checked out. Sometimes it only takes a simple *fasting* blood test.
To do this CRY needs funds, and if you are worried that your child has fainting attacks, then take them to be tested.
It's better to be safe then sorry.
Thank you for your posts. xxxx
