If it's true how disgusting of Rolf Harris to write a letter to a friend saying he had written a song about the people he had abused, and how cushy he had in prison he hoped to record the song when he was released. The person who he sent the letter to was so disgusted he gave it to the mail. Harris is due to come up before the parole board soon I hope he has to serve his full term.

I hope he is never released, he is not sorry at all for what he did.. only sorry that he got found out and women found the combined strength to stand up to him.

Sick man, I feel sorry for his victims, knowing he is acting this way, and sad for his wife and daughter, altho I think I read somewhere that his daughter won't believe his guilt. Maybe this latest horrible action will convince her. Let him rot in jail. We should all campaign for less of a cushy life for jailbirds.

It seems his conscious is as flexible as a Bishop in politics. And he cannot be too 'smart' to have put pen to paper as reported. Surely his legal advisor will be seething.

His sordid actions alone inspires one with absolute credulity.

Disgusting Man ..he should never be allowed out of prison .

At least his actions are likely hinder his parole :-D

...does make you wonder which 'friend' he sent the letter to, though, doesn't it?

Maggie...if he is having such a cushy time in prison he probably doesn't want parole...he feels safe where he is!...and he's giving art lessons!

I couldn't believe it about him at first...not like Jimmy Saville...but it just shows that you never know!!

Imprisonment is a bad & expensive way to make miscreants change their behaviour.

It's not nice to advocate a jail sentence for anybody, but it is vital that justice is administered in some form, evenly and fairly for all.

This is how things are until an alternative is created.

Well, i have said this before but...

i saw him over 40 years ago in my local park, it was to re-open some alterations to a part of the park and he was the guest to do the ceremonies there were lots of young children there including mine and the filth just rolled off his tongue, his jokes were blue and offensive.. i have never liked him since.

It was reported that he and his wife picked up their daughter at a café before reporting to court each day - gave the impression of an united family.

His daughter's friend was one of the witnesses apparently.

I thought I detected a bit of narcissistic rage in that letter.

Is his wife Australian? I don't think she is and Bindi has always been in Britain.

They probably want to get on with their lives and that must be nigh impossible in this country, i don't blame them for going to Australia they won't get all the media attention over there.

I am not wholly convinced that a private letter should necessarily be published/made public and wonder about the legal implications of that. I hope that the veracity and context have been taken into account by the publishers.

I am not, in any way, condoning anything but I do think that there is more to this than meets the eye.
