Hubby has porridge every single day, his cholesterol levels are unbelievably low :-D

I can't face anything until at least 1 p.m. and even then it's a struggle :-(

I don't eat breakfast but love porridge....sometimes if I am feeling peckish I will make a bowl.

I remember my Scottish cousins adding salt to it.....Yuk!

Porridge sometimes in the winter but usually a slice of toast with honey, marmite, peanut butter or marmalade . OH has weetabix in the winter sometimes.

I have to be awake before I can eat......... it takes at least two cups of coffee to wake me up :-D

Did you look at the link? BeerWheaties? ewwwwwwww

laughing at Susan's dislike of salty porridge... that's what I grew up on! These days I put honey on my porridge. My grandfather would be horrified.

If I eat in the mornings it's either a plain croissant or a piece of toast with marmite on topped with cottage cheese

My usual brekkie though is at least 2 cups off coffee on its own

Two shredded wheat with hot milk, or porridge made with milk and honey followed usually with a banana.
My M.I.L. used to make porridge with water and a lot of salt which was disgusting to me after having a creamy porridge .

At home, I almost always have a mix of 3 cereals from Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Cheerios and Oatmeal Crisp with Raisins, a handful of blueberries and a few other berries (strawberry, raspberry or tayberry) if we have them, soy milk. No sugar. One cup of Peppermint tea

OH sometimes makes porridge (with water and a pinch of salt) in winter for us both.

When we are on holiday and on the train or staying in a hotel, I usually have a full breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns or chef's potatoes (usually fried from last night's leftovers :-) ), toast (without butter) and jam, a pot of Peppermint tea, and a glass of cranberry juice.

That keeps me going until lunchtime :-)

I can also usually have porridge on the train or most hotels over here as it is usually made with water. I'll have a couple of slices of dry toast with jam with it.

Usually toast.

If I ever have a breakfast in a cafe I will have fried bread.

I never think to do fried bread at home and I don't drink coffee indoors so I always know I am out somewhere if I am having either one of those.

Fred had ReddyBrek every day for his breakfast because I made him make it for himself on his third day home from hospital and he carried on doing so. The carers thought I was dreadful to make a poor old stroke victim make his own breakfast but they soon changed their minds (when they saw what a breakfast I made was like!).

Mine varies...

But I always put golden syrup on my Granddaughter's porridge when she was little.. I would write an M (for Maia) on top with the golden syrup. I loathe porridge but he has it quite often.. not made by me he gets his own breakfast.

When I was a youngster we always stayed in hotels and I quite often had a mixed grill (without the kidneys) for breakfast. I would last till dinner time at night after that lot.
