Yes Bob but then you're "That person" because people that do things wrong think you shouldn't ever report them but you need to learn to live in society...least that what they told me once when I did moan to them for breaking my down pipe by driving on it 15 feet into my property !! Trouble is if I live like he wants in his society there'd be trouble everywhere !! |

WELL !! I know you have no right to park outside your own house BUT It's very frustrating when others who live in opposite cul de sacs who's bought their homes with no garages but have more than one car they want to park so they park outside your house and leave their cars for days on end |

What's really annoying is when someone parks on the road in front of yours when they have a driveway that can easily take that and more cars but they choose not too. I've had a car in front of mine since late Friday night and it's still there now Sunday morning; we have max three hour on street parking but if you complain you're "that person"; and it's right up to my driveway making it hard to get in and out but leaving their driveway nice and clear of course. When it's garbage pick up day or snow clearing it's bloody annoying too !! |

in UK as well, just looked it up in the Highway Code! - Rule 239 - but I've never seen it enforced and frequently see it done (tough it does mean in any traffic you have to drive across anything coming the other way) I don't think it is generally known. |

In WA it is an offence to park in such a manner as to cause an obstruction to a person's access to their driveway. Also, on all roads, you can only park in the direction of the traffic flow |

Highway Code rule 242, page 82, and Road Traffic Act 1988. Section 86 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 quotes an exception. |

Well I live no where near a station or school. I just live on a housing estate where we all have our own drives, and all drives here take at least 2 cars. There was a car parked outside the house and wondered if someone has done it deliberately. |

Irritating as it can be, if a car is taxed, insured etc., and parked legally, there is nothing you can do about it. I would not have bought this house without off-street parking, as we are so near to a station giving direct access to the City. |

People here do put out objects to block out a parking space in front of their house .................. I've seen very large paint cans, red traffic cones, small garbage cans, etc. |

We used to live in a village with a river and beach going through it, and sometimes in the summer you couldn't move for people, and at times we were unable to get the car out for cars parked over our entrance. OH used to put bollards out, and the cheeky b's would even move them in order to park. Nightmare, we were glad to move!!! |
