Anyone had any after effects? I had no problems and hardly felt it after it was done on Monday but today the gland under my arm that side is up and my arm is really stiff. Strange! |

Never had it,Friends did and they were quite ill afterwards, An article in the Media reported that it was not a lot of good in most cases as there are numerous types of flue and it does,nt cover all of them.Having had Malaria I was informed that I had a choice (After Discharge from the Forces) Either Qinine or Malt Whisky to help if it returned, :-D I chose the Latter,it tastes better and did the job.Hope your arm gets better soon. ;-) |

Hi Barbra, didn't feel a thing from Monday until this morning. Maybe I laid awkwardly on it last night, It is not really painful just stiff. Had it for quite a few years now and any side effects have been minimal and better than getting flu. (which I have never had thank goodness since I apparently had it at two years old!!) |

We haven't had them for years as the last time we did we both had the worst flu type cold ever. |

I think maybe the flu jab affects some people more than others, a couple of years ago we had really bad coughs afterwards other years we had no problems so we continue to have them. |

I had my flu jab a few weeks ago and after a day or two I was fine. But last week I had a Shingles jab, and what a difference. It really hurt going in and was very sore for days. I also had terrible aches behind my eyes. I googled side effects of the jab and the first to come up was headaches. Thank goodness we only have to have it once. |

Had mine on Monday morning - no ill effects at all, not even soreness where the needle went in. |

My sister had one last year and was poorly with flu symptoms for about a week. She hasn't had one this year. My other sister is putting off hers too as she always comes out in hives! (this is urticaria and a number of things can set it off - no known allergy). |

Had mine on Tuesday, just a sore arm. I have had a couple of years when I felt grim for a couple of days but that could have just been a coincidence. |

the strange thing with me I thought (which is why I mentioned it), is that from Monday when I had it until this morning I felt nothing. It was only after midday today that I suddenly felt it was stiff and a bit achy. |

Had one a few years ago and by the following day I had a hot, red lump the size of half an egg on my arm but every other year I've been fine |

There is no live virus in the flu vaccine so you can't get the flu from it. It takes 2 weeks for protection to develop. |

I had a very sore arm. The whole of the muscle was swollen, bright red and very tender for about four days. For a couple more days the redness slowly subsided but the arm was itchy. Last year I just had a small tender area for a day or so. |
