I'd guess that all ( lol) the GR staff have been co opted to manage the queries (not to say fallout) re FMPs 1939 register ;-)

I was counting the office cat ;- ) the one that takes the occasional walk across the keyboard to delete posts :-)

I have just found, copied, uploaded and edited my webpage to include a photo of poppies in my scrolling images in 7 minutes flat!

Not rocket science is it?

Foggy

Foggy Report 5 Nov 2015 19:42

Perhaps they decided not to display the poppies so as not to upset other minorities as seems to be the thing nowadays. :-|

Rambling Report 5 Nov 2015 20:14

Nice to see you Foggy :-)

I'm sure it's not that though, since Phil and Estelle were moved to FMP there doesn't seem to be the same level of interest in keeping the site going.

Hello young Rose, lovely to see you as well :-)

You might like this Foggy, it is shared ( with a very nice poppy ;-) ) on an FB genealogy page I frequent.

"I am not a badge of honour,
I am not a racist smear,
I am not a fashion statement,
To be worn but once a year,
I am not glorification
Of conflict or of war.
I am not a paper ornament
A token,
I am more.
I am a loving memory,
Of a father or a son,
A permanent reminder
Of each and every one.
I'm paper or enamel
I'm old or shining new,
I'm a way of saying thank you,
To every one of you.
I am a simple poppy
A Reminder to you all,
That courage faith and honour,
Will stand where heroes fall.
Paul Hunter 2014"

What do you expect from ghosts that can't even cone out at the Witching hour...

Phlegm & determination will bring us through this forgetful situation.

Is it too early to mention now a certain Christian festive currently hurdling towards us from every direction? :-(

Not even a poppy on their e-mail advertising the 1939 register!!!
For goodness sake - you'd have though that would have reminded them :-|

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 5 Nov 2015 21:49

have just sent them a message asking where the poppies are this year
