Hi Everyone. Just back in after wandering round the town. We forgot it was the Christmas Festival in Durham this weekend and it was fairly busy still. Lots of stalls etc and road through Market Place closed but this year's tree in the Market Place is tall, lovely shape, hundreds of warm white lights and a very pretty snowflake design on the top. It stands out spectacularly as there is no net strung with blue lights across the whole of the Market Place which, I think always felt cold. They've also got a nicely-shaped smaller tree on the split road to the Cathedral at the Magdalene steps for anyone who knows Durham.

All in all, we thought Durham's decorations this year are the best for a long time.

Best of all (GP take note) I was treated to fish and mushies at the prize- winning fish shop on what used to be known as Bailes Corner in the Market Place. We all tucked in. :-D

GP, Newcastle v Liverpool? I'd be chewed to death thinking of which team to support :-S

I hope everyone's had a very leisurely and enjoyable afternoon. :-)
